Classroom Course Outline – 3 Continuing Education Hours

Course description/abstract:

This 3-hour classroom session will cover 7 commonly found items in residential homes that are generally misunderstood or viewed as “deal killers”. These 7 items are Termites, Radon Gas, Asbestos, Mold, Polybutylene Pipes, Lead Paint, and EIFS siding.   

Goal:

Upon completion of this class, students will possess the knowledge to successfully help their clients make an informed buying decision of their residential home through a better understanding of the covered topics.  

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of the course students will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of:

ü  The technical knowledge of what each of the 7 items is

ü  Potential damage and or injuries associated with the 7 items

ü  Remediation and repair options for each of the 7 items

ü  Using this knowledge to help in negotiating and decision making
